We finished the first couple of weeks of school without any problems – from the kids or ‘Rona related. Jase, Henley, and Sadie are loving 2nd grade! They are having a great time in their new classes, with new teachers – even though they are wearing masks and social distancing.
I finished my second week as a SAHM again. And I killed it. I purged toys and cleaned rooms. I washed and dried and folded and hung up clothes. I swept and mopped and scrubbed. Of course, I blogged and listened to some new podcasts and napped a bit too!
On top of all that I found 5 new mom favorites to share with you!
This week I’m sharing my Top 5 Favorite True Crime Podcasts!
I know that true crime podcasts are not a new thing. But, while I was working last school year (and driving a lot) I became addicted to them. Now, I am utterly obsessed with true crime podcasts.
My most favorite true-crime podcast! Friends Mandy and Melissa are funny and witty while discussing crimes with the sensitivity they deserve. I love that they tell the stories with personal antidotes about themselves and their lives. It makes this podcast very relatable. Moms and Murder is fantastic, friends!
Favorite Episode(s): The Boarding House of Horrors
Southern Fried True Crime is and excellent podcast! It is well-written and superbly narrated – I just love Erica Kelley’s southern accent. She is smart and not afraid to tell the listener when her research goes against what is told by mainstream media. I’m hooked.
FAVORITE EPISODE(S): Lavinia Fisher: Charleston’s Woman in White
Megan and Amy are super knowledgeable and likable – I feel like I’m hanging out with them each episode. It is so refreshing to listen to criminologists’ take on women and the criminal justice system.
Favorite Episode(s): Shanda Sharer
Sisters Tori and Tyrella are amazing storytellers. They are easy to listen to and cover some really obscure cases which I love! They are funny and totally relatable (even though they’re younger than me). Killer Queens is completely worth your listening time.
Favorite Episode(s): White House Farm Murders
Seriously, this is one the funniest true crime podcast out there. The episodes aren’t super filled with facts but honestly, I don’t always listen for the gruesome details I just like their banter and humor! They may or not be the best part of my Mondays.
FAVORITE EPISODE(S): Wait What The F*ck Is Going On In Tiger King
Are you a true crime lover too?! If so, let me know in the comments your favorite true crime podcast!
