Summertime is the best, isn’t it?!
When I was younger my sister and I would have corn on the cob eating contests with my grandpa. I don’t recall who won, but I can assume it was always me or my sister. Those warm summer evenings in my grandma’s kitchen are among some of my fondest childhood memories.
Tonight Jase, Henley, and Sadie had their first ears of corn. There wasn’t any competition who could eat the most and no one ate so much corn they felt like they could explode. But, the table tonight was surrounded with lots of laughs with Nana and Papa. The corn may have been sweet, but the memories made tonight are the sweetest.
I have about a billion summer memories as a child! Going swimming and visiting cousins. Taking long walks out the woods behind our house and jumping on our trampoline all day long are just a few.
Do you have any wonderful memories as a child during the summer? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
