I’m So Uninspired | Is My Life That Mundane?

I’m so uninspired lately. Instead of spilling my guts and writing from the heart, from life experiences, I’m sharing with you things about fall leaves and notebooks. Honestly, pretty boring, right?

Back when I used to blog before, I could write a heartfelt piece in minutes. I could type out posts about the kids in one sitting. Now, lately, I just sit and stare at the computer screen. I’m waiting for inspiration to jump out at me, I guess.

Is my life that mundane?

I'm So Uninspired

Not really. I still have the same crazy triplets I did before. They’re in school now, though, instead of following me to the bathroom and wanting to be held all day long. But, they have a whole new type of craziness in them. You know, the “I’m 5 1/2 and I know everything and I can do every single thing (but wipe my butt) by myself” attitude.

I want to write about them. After all, this is a part motherhood blog. The stories are stuck though.

I suppose I could share with you ways to overcome writer’s block but I don’t want to today.

Today I want to write something special. It’s my husbands 39th birthday. I should write about him, but I can’t find the words.

So, in the end, I’m just going to wish my Matt the happiest birthday ever and hope that my kids do something ridiculous today so I can share it with you all tomorrow – if I find the words.

  1. Yeah, I’m with you on that one, usually I’m overflowing with ideas but sometimes it just feels like the well is dry! One thing to keep in mind though is that often the most seemingly mundane ideas can spiral off into something you couldn’t have imagined. Often when I’m in motion, like walking or riding the bus or doing the dishes, new ideas will spring up in my head. Often I’ve found that posts about universal topics or childhood memories that are short and sweet and end with a question inviting readers to share their thoughts do really well. People love reminiscing!
